Your Stain Guide Solution


The fun usually begins where the pavement ends! Despite appearances, dirty knees and muddy elbows are sure signs of some good clean fun. When it's time to come in and clean up, don't despair. Get down and dirty with a few steps to help remove dirt, grass, mud, and grime from everyday fabrics.


What to use to treat dirt and grass stains:

How To Pretreat


Step One

Start by brushing or shaking away any excess dirt, grass, mud, or grime from your fabric (preferably outside). Then, apply your stain treatment directly to the stained area. Our Stain Solution is ideal for outdoor stains, and starts working on contact!

Step Two

Work the solution into the fabric using a damp Stain Brush. We recommend keeping a separate brush on hand for grimy outdoor stains like these, including stains on sneakers and sports uniforms!

Step Three

Soak it out as needed. Fill a basin with the warmest water the fabric can tolerate (typically hot water for everyday fabrics), then let it soak for 30 minutes before washing. Apply more Stain Solution if needed, then toss in the wash. After pretreating and soaking, rinse hands well with water.

Deep Clean


  • Always launder according to your garment's instructions. We recommend using a deep cleaning detergent that helps target dirt, mud, grass, and grime, like Signature Detergent.
  • For added brightening benefits, use Whites Detergent for white & light-colored fabrics, or Darks Detergent for patterns and dark colors.
  • Select the hottest, longest cycle the fabric can tolerate (typically hot water for cottons and other everyday fabrics).
  • Remove promptly from the machine to check stains.

Dry & Finish


It's best to air dry items for best results. Keep in mind some stain residue may not be visible until garments are fully dry. Repeat the stain treatment process as needed.
