Cheers! Salud! Prost! Whether you're toasting or hydrating, wine, whiskey, margaritas, and even non-boozy bevs like juice and coffee can lead to some serious stains. But where there's a will (or spill), there's a way! Follow our top recommendations below for treating beverage stains on your favorite fits.


What to use to treat wine, coffee, & juice stains:

How To Pretreat


Step One

First, stop the spill in its tracks with a paper towel or rag. Thoroughly rinse the fabric with cool water to remove as much of the stain as possible.

Step Two

Next, apply our enzymatic Stain Solution formula, ideal for wine, coffee, juice, and other beverage stains. Work it into the fabric using a damp Stain Brush. Gently scrub, using circular motions.

Step Three

For older, tougher stains, soak before washing. Fill a sink or wash basin with the warmest water the fabric can tolerate (typically hot water for everyday fabrics), then let it soak for 30 minutes. Apply more Stain Solution, then toss in the wash. After pretreating and soaking, rinse hands well with water.

Pro Tip: If your beverage is milk-based, avoid using hot water and instead use cool to tepid water. High heat may "cook" the milk-based proteins and cause a tougher stain.

Deep Clean


  • Always launder according to your garment's instructions. We recommend using a stain-fighting detergent designed to target color stains, like Signature Detergent, made with a powerful bio-based enzyme complex.
  • Spilled a little morning coffee on your bright white bedding? Use Whites Detergent instead for added brightening benefits on white and light-colored fabrics.
  • Select the hottest, longest cycle the fabric can tolerate (typically hot water for cottons and other everyday fabrics).
  • Remove promptly from the machine to check stains.

Dry & Finish


Air it out! Always let your stained item lay flat or hang to dry. Bear in mind some stain residue may not be visible until the garment is dry, so it's best to play it safe. Repeat the stain treatment process as needed.
