Your Stain Guide Solution
It lubricates your engine, but motor oil drips, bike grease streaks, and other smears and smudges will stop you in your tracks. With just a little elbow grease, you'll power through to remove these tough stains. Apply product(s): Apply Stain Solution directly to the affected area. Work the stain: Work the solution into the fabric using our Stain Brush.
Pour water on the stain: For added cleaning power, pour boiling water from a kettle onto the affected area. (Pour from a safe height so the water won't splash on you.) The force of the pouring water helps to do the work. You can also use hot water from a faucet set to its highest water pressure output.
Soak up to 30 minutes: Soak the item in a basin filled with hot water. Reapply or repeat as needed: If the stain is not completely gone, repeat this process until satisfied.
Remove odors: Stains and odor often go hand in hand. Soak the item in a basin of hot water mixed with 1/4 cup of white vinegar.
Launder the item: Wash according to our instructions.
Caution/Disclaimer Our recommended stain and odor removal methods are solely intended for use with The Laundress products. We cannot guarantee the safety or success of products from other brands. We don't recommend using chlorine bleach on stains or odors, ever. Remove all stains before putting items in the dryer. Do not iron stained items.
