Pretreat
Pretreat stains with Stain Solution. This formula is tested and safe for all washable fabrics (cotton/cotton-poly, etc.) and effectively removes new and old/set-in protein, tannin, and oil stains – from stubborn pit stains to ink, tomato sauce, salad dressing and grass stains.
Focus on susceptible areas such as underarms, necklines, and cuffs.
To remove odor, presoak the item for 30 minutes in hot water mixed with 1/4 cup of plain white vinegar.
Machine Wash
Wash cotton with Signature Detergent on the normal cycle with hot water to achieve the deepest clean.
Eliminate static, prevent wrinkles, ease ironing, and keep clothing soft by adding Fabric Conditioner to every other wash.
Wash with like colors and fabrics only. We recommend washing sheets and towels separately from clothing.

Dry & Finish
Cotton can withstand tumble drying with high heat. To ease ironing, remove from the dryer while still damp or line dry. Line drying helps preserve fibers, colors, shape, and elasticity, while also saving energy! Cotton has a maximum shrinkage capacity. A garment will shrink once using high heat or gradually using low heat.
After line drying, clothing may feel stiff. Steam or spritz with a wrinkle release spray, like Classic Fabric Spray, to restore softness and to remove wrinkles.
Store
Always store items clean and unstarched.
We recommend storing in a breathable cotton storage bag to protect items from bugs.
Storing in plastic encourages yellowing and can trap mildew-causing moisture, a prime environment for bugs.
All techniques are based on textile science. Not all garments perform and react as science would predict.
