- Has your brush always been made with horsehair? I have a very old Laundress stain brush with black bristles where the wood has split. Wanting to replace it but I use it with Oxiclean and I thought you weren't supposed to use Oxiclean with protein/animal based products (silk, wool). Wondering if that also applies to horsehair? Would love to get another one if it will work for my purposes.

The brush is ideal to pair with our Stain Solution treatment, which is highly effective on many types of protein, oil, and tannin stains. While we cannot speak specifically to the efficacy of pairing with other stain removers, we just want to note that you may experience minor brush shedding when pairing with oxygen bleaches.
