How To Launder School Uniforms

When your kid gets home from school, you wonder how on earth could they have accumulated so many stains in one day. Between lunch spills, recess, and art class they are bound to bring home a little bit of the classroom. While it may feel impossible to get those uniforms clean and crisp in time for the next school day, don't fret! A combination of our plant-derived solutions and quick-fix wrinkle tips will have your youngsters prepped for success.

Stain Solution, All-Purpose Bleach Alternative, Stain Brush, Signature Detergent, Wool & Cashmere Shampoo, Ironing Kit, Sweater Comb

Pretreat scuffs and stains with Stain Solution, focusing on susceptible areas such as underarms, necklines, and cuffs.

Treat pit stains and other stubborn, set-in stains by creating a paste using the Stain Solution and All-Purpose Bleach Alternative* and applying directly onto the affected area. Work the paste into the fabric using your finger or the Stain Brush.

Note: All-Purpose Bleach Alternative cannot be use on silk or wool.

To remove stubborn odor, presoak the item for 30 minutes in cool water mixed with 1/4 cup of Scented Vinegar.

Machine Wash

Place delicate or small items (ie. embroidery, socks and leggings) in a Mesh Washing bag to prevent damage and keep them together. If the item is cotton, linen or a durable synthetic, wash in warm or cool water with Signature Detergent. For wool sweaters and vests, use the Wool & Cashmere Shampoo and cool water. Always wash coordinated separates - like the top and bottoms - together. Washing at different frequencies will lead the color to vary between each item.

It's best to air dry uniforms to preserve color and shape. Simply lay garments flat on a drying rack or towel to dry. If you're facing a time crunch, you may machine dry cotton, linen, and durable synthetics on low and spray Crease Release 5 minutes before the cycle is over to reduce wrinkles.

To rejuvenate and depill wool sweaters, vests, and coats, steam and use the Sweater Comb or Sweater Stone.
