The recalled products can contain a chemical impurity, ethylene oxide, a carcinogen that can cause adverse health effects if there is significant and direct long-term exposure.
All fabric conditioners included in this recall were already covered by our previous market actions in December 2022.
As we urged in December 2022, consumers should immediately stop using The Laundress products, including the recalled fabric conditioners.
Consumers who have previously requested a refund for fabric conditioner products should not submit a new request and do not need to take any further action. Consumers who have not already done so can request a refund below.
After requesting a refund, consumers should dispose of the product by closing the bottle tightly and placing it in household trash. Do not empty the product prior to disposal.
We again deeply apologize for this situation and look forward to returning soon with a renewed commitment to the highest standards of product safety and quality.
