Sweater Comb

  • Comb to smooth sweaters and remove pilling from fine knits
  • Two fine metal mesh screens on a cedar wood handle
  • 4" x 2"

We're putting our fabric care expertise in your hands! The Laundress Sweater Comb helps lift pills, lint, and fuzz balls on fine knits and woolens, from sweaters to outerwear. The screen edges comb fibers and yarns, helping to smooth and enhance the appearance of fine fabrics. It's the perfect complementary tool to an exceptional knitwear care routine!

Lay your fine-gauge knit or woolen item on a flat surface and gently smooth the fabric with your hands. Working in one direction while holding the garment taut, glide the Sweater Comb over target areas, gently lifting pills and lint. Bulky knits need only a light touch, as pills do not cling tightly to the yarn. We recommend de-pilling before laundering with Wool & Cashmere Shampoo for best results.

Please Note: The Sweater Comb is not recommended for use on delicate synthetics or fabrics with knotty yarns or fibers. If you are not sure how the Sweater Comb will perform on your garment, first test in a small, inconspicuous area. Never use the comb on wet fabrics. Remove the excess lint from the comb after each use.

Contrary to popular belief, most pilling is typically caused by wear and tear. When fibers loosen and lift, they form little balls, which tend to appear on woven woolens, knitted synthetics, and blends. These pills commonly occur in areas of friction, such as cuffs and where arms rub along sides. Focus on these areas of your delicate garment when de-pilling with the comb.

INGREDIENTS: Silicon carbide sanding mesh roll, red cedar wood.
