Fabric

Cloth, typically produced by weaving or knitting textile fibers.

Blinds

Common Problems: Dust and Dirt

How to Clean: Use the Duster for Small Spaces monthly to remove dust and dirt from hard-to-reach areas. We recommend cleaning your blinds 2 times a year. Wipe them down with a Lint-Free Cleaning Cloth dampened with Scented Vinegar.

Caution: Dust regularly to remove and reduce mite allergens.

Curtains and Drapes

Common Problems: Dust and Dirt

How to Clean: Vacuum weekly to remove excess dust and dirt; steaming will reduce bacteria and allergens.

If you can remove the curtains, we recommend washing by fabric type with one of our detergents 2-4 times a year, or as you see dirt and buildup.

Shower Curtains and Liners

Common Problems: Mold and Mildew

How to Clean: Wash shower curtains and liners in the washing machine, on a normal cycle with hot water, 2 capfuls of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative, and appropriate amount of Signature Detergent. Hang to dry.

For heavy buildup, pre-soak in hot water and 1 capful of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative, then wash on a normal cycle with hot water and appropriate amount of Signature Detergent.

Cautions: Chlorine-based vinyl shower curtains are less durable and prone to mildew. Avoid chlorine bleach and toxic cleaners.

Upholstery

Common Problems: Stains, Odors

How to Clean: Spot-treat upholstery with the Wash & Stain Bar. Pat the treated area with a clean, damp cloth, safely removing all dirt and stains—repeat as necessary.

Odors: Spray with Home Spray. Steam to reduce bacteria and allergens.

Dust regularly to remove and reduce mite allergens. Keep dry; moisture will encourage the growth of biological toxins, such as mold and mildew.
