Dining Room

Keeping a clean dining room can be a challenge, but the task is a breeze when you have the ultimate cleaning guide

Dishes

Materials: Ceramic, Glass, Plastic

Common Problems: General Cleaning, Food Mess, Soap Residue

How to Clean: When hand washing, protect items with a rubber basin.

Remove and discard any loose debris. Wash with the Linen Knit Dish Cloth, Dish Detergent and hot water; then rinse and wipe dry with a clean cloth. Drying with a cloth will prevent water marks.

The dishwasher is most effective; always remove heavy food and loose debris prior to running the cycle.

Cautions: Due to environmental concerns, the EPA has required that detergent manufacturers remove phosphorous, the key ingredient, from their formulations. These grocery brand detergents do not incorporate the expensive, environmental enzymes needed to clean thoroughly--as a result residue and spotting is left behind.

Dining Room Table

Material: Lucite

Common Problems: General Cleaning, Food Mess and Spills

How to Clean: Remove and discard any loose debris. Spray with Surface Cleaner after each use; then rinse and wipe dry with a clean cloth. Drying with a cloth will prevent water marks. Immediately clean spills such as vinegar, citrus fruit and wine immediately to prevent staining.

Cautions: Avoid using harsh toxic cleaners. Never place hot pots and pans directly on to the surface. Using table linens will help to prevent chips and scratches.
