This solution is ideal for protein and tannin stains such as wine, coffee, ink, grass, urine, and blood. This solution is also effective on pit stains and other old, set-in stains. Safe for all washable fabrics.

Stains build up over time. We recommend pretreating with every load to prevent dinginess and to remove stains and odor. While you may not notice a stain today, it is especially important to pretreat areas that are susceptible to buildup, such as underarms, collars, and cuffs.

To combat dull colors, dingy whites, and odors, presoak in a basin of hot water mixed with 1 capful of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative. Then wash according to our washing instructions. Our All-Purpose Bleach Alternative is safe for all washable fabrics EXCEPT silk and wool.

For extra stain-fighting power, sprinkle All-Purpose Bleach Alternative on the solution to form a paste and work into stains using the Stain Brush.

To aid stain removal, pour water from a height or put the affected area under the faucet and let the pressure of the water help work the stain. Use hot water when treating cotton, linen, and durable synthetics and cool or lukewarm water for all other fabric types, such as silks, delicates, wool, or cashmere.

Heavily stained items are best laundered with hot water and a long wash cycle. For blood stains, use cold water.

Always...
Pretreat and presoak before laundering.
Test when in doubt.
Have on hand in every laundry room.

Never...

To prevent adverse reactions such as permanent color loss, always test the product on an inconspicuous spot first.

The Laundress recommends washing techniques based on the principles of textile and fiber science. Not all garments perform and react as science would predict. Unfavorable outcomes may occur when washing items, such as slight changes in color or texture and, in rare cases, permanent dye release. This variance can happen due to the manufacturer’s unique process for setting dye into their garments and, in some situations, is a reaction caused by the actual stain itself. The Laundress has also encountered incorrectly labeled fabric care tags from the manufacturer and other complications from improper manufacturing. While The Laundress is not liable for damaged garments, we offer a full refund for the products used.
