Spring Clean The Kitchen: Make Faucets & Fixtures Shine

Apr 6, 2016

Chrome, copper, cast iron, or stainless — it all looks better when it's sparkly clean. And there’s no need to hail in a parade of products to get the job done. These quick tips and four products from our eco-friendly Home Cleaning Collection is literally all you’ll need to achieve results that dazzle.

How to Clean:
Remove and discard food from the sink and strainer. Wash with Dish Detergent and hot water after each use.

Drain and Disposal Maintenance:
For a natural drain cleaner, mix 1 cup boiling Scented Vinegar with a 1/4 cup All-Purpose Bleach Alternative. Pour into the drain and let sit for 5 minutes—rinse with hot water.

Caution: Steel wool brushes and pads can be damaging. Avoid using ammonia and harsh toxic cleaners.

How to Clean:
Remove hard water stains and rust by spraying faucets and showerheads with the Surface Cleaner and wipe dry. To remove rust or hard-water deposits, scrub with a solution of Scented Vinegar and water. Rinse well and wipe dry.

Caution: Do not use abrasive scrubs or pads.  Avoid ammonia, chlorine bleach and other strong chemicals.  Be sure to keep dry after use.
