WHAT ARE SILVERFISH?
Silverfish are grey/blue wingless insects that can reach ½ inch in length. These tiny critters can be found anywhere humidity levels are high. They feast on a diet of starch, sugar, and protein which makes linen, cotton, viscose, rayon, and silk prime targets.
Silverfish are attracted to perspiration, perfume, and body oils, therefore not washing clothing before storing increases the likelihood of infestation.
