While flowers delight us with their scent and beauty, pollen can make things messy in a minute. A bright yellow pollen stain on your clothes can make even the most seasoned domestic goddess gasp, but no need to worry! We’ve got a way to remove pollen in a pinch.
STEP 1: Shake it off
It’s very important that you do not wet the fabric or touch the pollen — the oil from your fingers can set the stain. Instead, first shake the item to allow loose pollen to fall away.
STEP 2: Stick to it
Next, use sticky tape and gently press against the pollen to remove without rubbing it in further.
STEP 3: Pretreat
Pretreat the remaining stain by applying Stain Solution directly to the affected area. Sprinkle a capful of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative* directly on top of the solution. Using your finger or the Stain Brush, work the paste into the fabric.
*All-Purpose Bleach Alternative can be used on washable fabrics except silk and wool.
STEP 5: Launder
Hand wash or machine wash with the Signature Detergent or appropriate detergent for the fabric. Hang to dry.
