While flowers instantly delight us with their scent and beauty, pollen can make things messy in a minute. We’ve got strategies for removing the stains they leave behind in a flash.
STEP 1: Shake it off
Avoid touching the stained portion of the fabric or touching the pollen — the oil from your fingers can set in the stain. Instead, shake the item to allow loose pollen to fall away.
STEP 2: Stick to it
Next, use sticky tape and gently press against the pollen to remove without rubbing it in further.
STEP 4: Do a simple soak
In a Wash Tub Basin or sink, prepare a bath of hot* water and 1 capful of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative. For delicate fabrics like silk or wool, use just cold water without All-Purpose Bleach Alternative. Repeat as necessary until the stain is no longer visible.
*All-Purpose Bleach Alternative can be used on washable fabrics except silk and wool. Use only cool or cold water on silk and wool.
STEP 5: Launder
Hand wash or machine wash with the Signature Detergent or appropriate detergent for the fabric. Hang to dry.
