Virtual or not, school is almost in session, and there’s no better time than right now to get your household organized! Get things down to a science with our complete guide.
Back to School Checklist

1. Deep clean bedrooms and playrooms
After a summer spent mostly at home, be sure to wipe down surface areas with our Surface Cleaner and Lint-Free Cleaning Cloths. Kick strong odors by filling a bowl with Scented Vinegar and allowing it to set in the room or area. For an extra deep clean, create a powerful solution with our All-Purpose Cleaning Concentrate and All-Purpose Bleach Alternative and scrub floors, tubs, sinks, toilets, and tiles.
2. Clean out “junk drawers” and desk drawers
Toss or upcycle anything you no longer need. Invest in a drawer organizer so that supplies are within reach when you need them.
3. Clear out filing space
Recycle papers from last school year to make room for memos, report cards and files for the new school year. Designate a file folder for each child.
4. Stock up on lunch essentials and snacks
Meal prep lunches and snacks for the upcoming week. If your kids are going back to school, give backpacks and lunchboxes a deep clean. Follow this guide to get rid of any hardened dirt and grime.
5. Prep a work and homework station
Create a spacious work area where they can spread out and get their work done together. Make room for an extra seat at the table if they need your help!
6. Sort through closets and donate items
Begin to store away summer clothes and donate items that no longer fit and/or damaged. Our tricks for seasonal storage will protect clothes from critters and yellowing.
7. Create a chores chart
Make clean up time fun and take a load off your to-do list, too!
