Wipe away a season’s worth of buildup and discoloration from patios, porches and decks. Our fast-acting tactics bring them back to baseline without any unwieldy equipment. The Tools You Need On Deck: All-Purpose Bleach Alternative, All-Purpose Cleaning Concentrate, Scrub Brush, Horse Hair Broom, Wash Tub Basin
Step 1: Give It A Hose Down
Move upholstered furniture, grills, and other miscellaneous outdoor equipment off the deck or patio. Brush away any debris like leaves or twigs with our Horse Hair Broom, then spray with water from your hose to loosen up dirt and grime.
Step 2: Prep The Mixture
Add two gallons of hot water to a bucket or Wash Tub Basin. Mix in two to three capfuls of our All-Purpose Bleach Alternative (our chlorine-free expert at lifting and dissolving grime) and one to two capfuls of our freshly scented All-Purpose Cleaning Concentrate (for nixing dirt, mud, mold, and moss). Stir the solution together until it is completely dissolved. Note: Do not use All-Purpose Bleach Alternative on stained wood. Instead, use one to two capfuls of All-Purpose Cleaning Concentrate and hot water.
Step 3: Scrub It In
Using the Scrub Brush or outdoor mop, work the solution into the deck starting at one end and working your way to the other. Don't forget stairs, railings, sides, and edges. Let the lather sit for a few minutes to give the solution time to set in.
Step 4: Rinse & Repeat
Repeat steps 2&3 until the entire deck has been scrubbed down. Then rinse away suds and soap with your hose. Make sure the deck is completely dry before replacing furniture.
