Accidents happen! Whether your pet is mid-training or just didn’t make it out in time, here’s how to remove pet accident stains and odors on rugs, carpets, upholstery and other fabrics.
Pet Messes Kit, Lint-Free Cleaning Cloth, All-Purpose Bleach Alternative, Wash & Stain Bar
Stop The Smell
Remove and discard any hardened messes, then blot up as much liquid as you can using a Lint-Free Cleaning Cloth
Combine 1 cup of Scented Vinegar with 1 cup of lukewarm water in a spray bottle. Spray affected area generously and let sit for 10-15 minutes. If necessary, use the Stain Brush to work the solution in. Our Scented Vinegar solution will help neutralize the uric acid in urine that’s responsible for odors and fading of fabric. After 10-15 minutes, be sure to blot well with warm water and a Lint-Free Cleaning Cloth.
Treat The Stain
Once you’ve neutralized the uric acid, you’ll need to clean the area. Wet a Wash & Stain Bar and work into the stain. Once it has lifted, wet a Lint-Free Cleaning Cloth with warm water and thoroughly remove excess soap. Dry the area with a dry portion of the cloth until completely dry to avoid water marks later on.
To further freshen, once the area is dry, generously sprinkle All-Purpose Bleach Alternative on top and let sit for 10-15 minutes before vacuuming up the granules.
If the surface is hard (wood, tile, etc.) dilute 1/2 cup of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative with a gallon of water. Then, mop the floor with the solution. The bleach formula will work to disinfect the area. Allow to dry completely.
