Note: These how-tos are for machine washable fabrics like cotton, denim, and durable synthetics.

Coffee, Fruit, Jam, & Syrup

Remove the bedding from your mattress, then work Stain Solution into the fabric using a Stain Brush dipped in hot water, until it lifts. For an extra stain-lifting boost, sprinkle oxygen-powered All-Purpose Bleach Alternative on top (skip if you have silk sheets), which is suitable for whites and colors. Repeat until satisfied. For tough stains, you can soak the area in warm water (use your tub or “spot soak” the area in a Wash Tub Basin) for up to 30 minutes, which will help the discoloration to dissolve. Wash as normal with Signature Detergent or Whites Detergent and hot water. If you have silk sheets, use Delicate Wash and cold water instead.

Butter, Oil & Avocado

We formulated our Wash & Stain Bar to remove oil-based stains like butter, oil, salad dressing, and even avocado. Here's how: Remove bedding, then run the bar under warm running water. Massage it directly into the stain or use the Stain Brush to help. For stubborn spots, you can soak the area in warm water and a capful of All-Purpose Bleach Alternative (use your tub or "spot soak" the area in a Wash Tub Basin) for up to 30 minutes, which will help the discoloration to dissolve. Wash as normal with Signature Detergent or Whites Detergent and hot water. If you have silk sheets, use Delicate Wash and cold water instead, and omit the All-Purpose Bleach Alternative step.

Pollen

Got a side of florals with your breakfast? Although beautiful, flower’s pollen can tend to leave ugly stains. Not to worry—discoloration can be treated with our Stain Solution, All-Purpose Bleach Alternative, and Stain Brush. Grab the full how-to here.
