The old adage – if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself – certainly applies to tenoverten founders Nadine Abramcyk and Adair Ilyinsky. Unable to find a beautiful, relaxing spot to get an expert mani/pedi in their Tribeca neighborhood, they set out to open their own. Today, they've expanded their brand, tenoverten, to include six gorgeous salons in New York, Texas, and California and a line of environmentally and health-conscious polishes made in the USA. The tenoverten product that I can't live without is? Non-Acetone Remover Wipes that have zero noxious odor so I can use them anywhere, anytime!
The shade I?m most looking forward to wearing this summer is? Fulton -- it's counterintuitive to pick a nude for summer, but it actually looks great on the beach.
tenoverten was created when?
We used to get our nails done together and felt that the New York nail salon experience left a lot to be desired. We brainstormed a laundry list of ways we would improve the model and one night over a glass of wine, decided to take the leap and put that list into action.
The tenoverten nail polish names are inspired by?
The downtown Manhattan Streets we love, although we've ventured Uptown for our Spring collection featuring Lexington, Madison and Park.
The tenoverten product that I can't live without is?
The Foundation. It's a nourishing base coat infused with Vitamin E and horsetail grass but can be worn alone since it has a pretty light pink tint.
My favorite Laundress product is?
I truly can't pick as I use and love them all. Maybe the Whites Detergent or the Wash & Stain Bar
