Ask the Laundress
I have your entire line and I would like some advice on how to get a mustard stain out of a Tommy Bahama t-shirt that was washed in without being noticed! Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is a favorite t-shirt.
Assuming that your top is either a cotton, linen or durable synthetic blend (because it was machine washed), I recommend applying Stain Solution and All-Purpose Bleach Alternative directly to the stain and pouring hot water onto the mixture to activate the bleach alternative beads. Gently work this solution into the fabric and follow by soaking in bath of warm water for roughly 30 minutes. If the stain isn’t removed at the soak’s completion, you may need to repeat this process. Once satisfied with removal, launder as normal.
**Please note that this process should only be used for cottons, linens and durable synthetics. If your shirt contains any amount of silk, wool or leather, the All-Purpose Bleach Alternative should not be used.
