Ask the Laundress
We have a new puppy in the house, and that also comes with new stains like grease on a white Kilim from chewing bones. The rug was pretreated by the professional cleaner. What do you suggest to use on the stains? Furthermore, while the pup is potty trained, sometimes it still goes wrong in the house. Is there something we can use on these stains? Our rugs are primarily wool.
To help remove the pet messes from your rug, I recommend treating it with the Wash & Stain Bar. To use, simply lather it with water and gently work it into the fabric. You can apply Scented Vinegar to the area in conjunction with the Wash & Stain Bar. To remove the suds, wet a Lint-Free Cleaning Cloth and dab the area clean. If your rug is wool, the stain should lift fairly easily. If the rug is cotton, you should test a small area of it before fully treating the stains as such treatments may leave a wet/treated mark. If the stains aren’t removed after the first attempt, you may need to repeat this process.
Sprinkling the All-Purpose Bleach Alternative and vacuuming up the beads will also help deodorize.
I hope this information is of help to you. If you have any further questions, please let me know.
