To keep your equipment in top shape and running most efficiently – follow these simple instructions below…

CLEAN YOUR WASHER: Add (¼ cup, 4 oz, 120 ml) of The Laundress Machine Cleaner to your machine dispenser and run an EMPTY, long load with hot water. Repeat again with just hot water. Don’t forget to clean out your fabric softener & bleach dispensers! We also recommend leaving the door open when not in use to help air out your machine.
CLEAN YOUR DRYER: Your dryer drum collects lint and can affect the efficiency of your dryer and leave fuzz behind on clean clothes. Use a cloth or sponge with cleaning solution (one capful The Laundress Stain Solution and 1 liter of water) and wipe the inside of dryer to remove lint. Clean the dryer filter after each use. A clogged filter will restrict flow and reduce dryer performance, not to mention is a fire hazard.
CLEAN YOUR IRON/STEAMER: Unplug and cool, add (1/8 cup, 2 oz, 60 ml) of Machine Cleaner and fill with water. Sit overnight, pour out and rinse thoroughly with tap water.

Mystery stains and colored spots appearing on your clothes? Cleaning your washer monthly with The Laundress Machine Cleaner will remove lime scale, rust & build-up caused by minerals such as iron & calcium. These elements will not only leave spots behind, but actually make your machine work harder raising energy bills up to 25%.
HE & front-loading machines are more prone to mildew than top-loaders due to the build-up of water, detergent and dirt residue that collects in the cavity holding the washing drum. Cleaning your machine regularly with hot water & the Machine Cleaner will solve this problem.
To remove any rust stains on your cotton or linen clothing*, apply The Laundress Stain Solution on the stained area. Run hot water (we pour boiling water from the kettle) onto stain and soak in a basin for an hour. If stain has faded, but isn’t completely gone, repeat the process. After pre-treating wash with a Laundress Detergent in the machine. *when removing stains on other fabrics, use tepid, not boiling water.
