Hi The Laundress! I was inspired to buy your product by a recent article about your company in the Wall Street Journal. Something about the article struck me ….that I should be taking better care of the things that I have (it even sparked thoughts of how to better take care of my family and pets!...who know a soap could have such an effect!) I have just completed my annual "swap out" of winter clothes to summer clothes with the use of your Wool & Cashmere Shampoo (purchased at the Container Store). For the first time I took great care and effort to inspect all my clothing, launder it ALL (dry clean only when needed) and nicely stow it away in a canvas (breathable) storage racks and bags w/ natural fresheners and repellants. Let me say that the $18.99/bottle is well worth the price as it more than got me through all of the laundering of my items. Not to mention the "Zen" feeling I got from the entire process - there is something very rewarding about home keeping w/ intention! I LOVE The Laundress collection of products and I have quite a collection of them for all sorts of cleaning and storage. However, living in a small condo, I do not have the luxury of a spacious laundry room and occasionally, I do not trust myself to hand wash some of my more expensive clothing items despite the detailed instructions that The Laundress provides. Thus, recently I sent The Laundress a Chanel coat sweater; a Chanel multicolored sweater; a very delicate Chanel jacket made of intricately woven ribbons and a white king-size duvet cover. Dear Laundress Your products saved the day again. Actually, they saved a brand new shirt of my husbands. The morning after dinner with friends I noticed drips of red wine down the front of his brand new shirt. It's a cream and white striped Tommy Bahama pullover. Not cheap. Hello, I wanted to briefly tell you of my experience with your products. I learned of The Laundress New York by simply going to my salon in Indianapolis. This is an upscale salon and they have a beautifully decorated restroom that display several of your stylish pails. Their hand towels always smell gorgeously clean and I decided to google your name. I saw your wonderful website and was introduced to your products, vision, and your "green" philosophy. I was sold! I prefer to use environmentally safe cleaning supplies and detergents. I also love the style that your products have. I bought some of your products at Parkside Linens in Indianapolis. I also ordered the horsehair broom, wash basin, and large bucket, and several other products... I love them all! The denim detergent is top notch and I love the way they babied my expensive designer denims. I never would have thought that I could skip the dry cleaners and wash my own wools and cashmeres before putting them away for the season. I love the horsehair broom and can also testify to it's performance. I pick up more particles with ease than your regular standard plastic-mutant cheap ones. I love Redecker brushes as my cousin is from the UK and has told me that Redecker sets the standard :) Overall, the end result of my experience with your products will lead me to continue buying your products and recommending them to others! Hi! I purchased your cashmere wash from J.Crew.com, and I love it. It smells amazing, and keeps my cashmere so soft. After experiencing the cashmere wash, I purchased the denim wash, and the cashmere spray. I love these products as well. My jeans are a very dark indigo wash, and I want them to stay that way as long as possible. I wash my jeans inside out, with cold water and the denim wash. They look brand new! I love your new cleaning products. The dish liquid will be a staple in my household - it is amazingly effective for soaking pans and dishes with baked-on food. Unfortunately, I can't use it in my "powder-only" F&P dishwasher, but my friend (another recent convert to your products) says it saved the day for his family after the phosphate was taken out of Cascade. Many people in hard-water areas such as L.A. report that the new phosphate-free detergents leave a white, powdery film in the dishwasher. I got balsamic vinaigrette all over my favorite white wool sweater. I was prepared to relegate the sweater to the "gardening fashion" pile, but decided to try and clean it. I treated it with stain solution and washed it with the wool and cashmere shampoo. When I pulled it out of the washer I was stunned to find no trace of the stain after only one wash. Amazing results
After washing every wool item in the house with the truly amazing wool & cashmere shampoo, I moved on to fur with equally amazing results - sweaters with fur collars, fur stoles and scarves. Cold water and gentle cycle and they all came out fresh, soft and seemingly better than new.

Just want to thank you for such wonderful products. Last night, I washed some wool sweaters w/ the wool & cashmere shampoo and even when the were wet, I could feel how wonderfully soft they were! Honestly, that shampoo makes them feel softer than the day there were purchased, and even takes away some of the natural scratchiness of wool!! I've been using your products for a little over a year now, and only in the next month or so will I finally have to replace my wool/cashmere shampoo. I have to admit, I was first a little shocked by the price, but when you think about what you spend on dry cleaning (especially "green" dry cleaning), your shampoo is really worth it! So, THANKS!

HS Biology & your detergents
I just returned from visiting a friend in PA who shared with me a bottle of the Signature detergent (classic scent). I love it! More importantly, I wanted to let you know that you have helped my students (I am a high school biology teacher). Your detergent is one of the few that I have found that list the specific enzymes used to clean fabrics. Believe it or not, one of the topics I am required to teach my juniors is the use of enzymes (specifically proteases) in detergents. I was so excited that I brought the detergent to school last week and shared it with my students. They thought it was cool to see "real world application" of something they learned in high school biology. I will continue to use your product as a teaching tool! Thanks!

A brief anecdote
I had forgotten a blood stain on a cotton t-shirt and an oil stain on an expensive silk jersey top - both for weeks - leaving the stains to really set. I used the stain solution on both after following the instructions on the site and the stains were completely removed! This is the only stain remover that has worked on tough food stains on my toddlers clothing. I love using the baby detergent + softener and find that the Delicate wash revived bras I thought were dead! The wool + cashmere wash has done the same thing for my favorite 10 year old + sweaters! I must honestly tell you I could not possibly believe the price of your laundry product. I decide to try them out of sheer curiosity. I purchased the classic and the dark laundry products. They are absolutely fantastic. I have navy and black tee shirts that have been washed at least a dozen times and the color and fabric still looks brand new. Dear Lindsey & Gwen, Your Wool and Cashmere Wash is an absolutely wonderful product! My fine cashmere sweaters and Hudson Bay blanket have never felt softer or smelled fresher! My husband is a blacksmith- his clothes get filthy from forging steel. His grungy ragg wool sweaters are so clean and feel amazingly soft after a washing. I work as a ski instructor at Vail part-time and swear by my Ibex wool long johns and sweaters. Hi, I am a huge fan of your line and use your Whites, Delicates and Stain Solution always on my clothes. However, I recently used the Stain Solution on folding chairs that I borrowed from my sister. They are upholstered in pale green "velvet" - the fabric has a short pile - and they were heavily stained with old food smears. I have such confidence in your products that I didn't even do a test patch! I used a damp paper towel with Stain Solution on it and removed all the stains without altering the color or affecting the nap of the velvet! Brilliant! My sister thought I had the chairs recovered! One week ago, if you were to tell me that I'd get butter sauce out of my 5-year-old's cashmere sweater, I would have said "I'd like to see that". Well, you did it. Hi, I just wanted to let you know I just used the Wash & Stain Bar...LOVE IT! There was maraschino cherry juice on a 7 year old boy's shirt with lots of dirt stains too and I was able to get them out. Next, I experimented on my wood cutting board. Great Sheets
I have always been anal about my laundry! I use the Whites Detergent on my white sheets, and only on white sheets. I then hang them to dry outside on the clothes line and they are just fantastic! Love my Travel Pack!
I was eating a Greek salad last Monday going crazy trying to get ready to fly out and all of the sudden an olive went flying out from under my fork and bounced twice on my pants before landing on the ground. I had two grease spots on my off-white paints that I was planning on wearing throughout the next two weeks of my trip. Luckily, I had my Travel Kit in my suitcase! I put the Stain Solution onto the spots and threw them in my suitcase to marinate during the flight. When I got to the hotel I washed the pants in the sink and let them dry. The grease stains completely disappeared by the next morning when they dried.

WOW, WOW, WOW!
Hi, I saw a piece about caring for cashmere and avoiding the cost of the dry cleaner on the Today Show MANY months ago. For cashmere care, the segment had recommended your Wool & Cashmere Shampoo. Well, I went to your web site and decided to try it. You said your product leaves cashmere very soft. (I thought- sure...we'll see) Wow, was I impressed. My sweaters have never been softer or cleaner! When I washed them, I could see the dirt being washed out. After air drying (flat), I cannot get over how SOFT all my sweaters are. A truly remarkable product. The cedar smell is so much better than dry cleaner chemical smell and I feel it is probably better for the environment,too. I love the video clip you have on washing cashmere, by the way. It was very helpful.

No More Grease!
I cook dinner for my family when I walk in the door and never change into my older; fabulous looking " Around the House outfit" While frying  the fresh bluegill we caught locally, grease splattered on my favorite sweater. The all cotton sweater was a mess. I used a dab of The laundress  Stain Solution on each spot,  only a tiny amount, then rubbed lightly with a soft toothbrush. I next washed the sweater with The laundress detergent.   NO MORE GREASE - One application. ( Ok, so I missed one spot) I have used Tide on each spot and shout... with no results.   Fabulous! I am writing to tell you how impressed I am with your products. I was surprised to receive my items so quickly; I placed my order yesterday morning (04/26/06) and was utterly surprised to have the delivery man show up at my door this evening. Lindsey-I washed Clyde's favorite blanket in the Le Chien et Le Chat cedar detergent and he is no longer making my bed his bed. He only sleeps on this blanket now;-) He carries it with him everywhere-

just used the cashmere wash, and it's awesome. my sweaters smell great. not like after they've been dry cleaned. and they are sooooo soft. LOVE IT!

Baby Detergent
Dear Lindsey and Gwen, WE LOVE THE BABY DETERGENT!! We needed a solution to get out the stains on our baby toys, gadgets, car seats, strollers, etc. As you can imagine there were all kinds of heavy stains that soiled these otherwise like new products. We washed the fabric portions in The Laundress Baby Detergent and they come out stain free! Thanks for making such great products.

Swimwear Detergent
I love my Laundress Swimwear detergent...I even took it on my honeymoon to Aruba and washed my bathing suit! With all the swimming, snorkeling, and time spent on the beach...my bathing suit smelled of sweat and salt water. I was worried that after all the money I spent on the two nice suits I purchased for the honeymoon, that they'd be ruined. After I hand washed them in the sink with The Laundress's specialty swimsuit wash, they were delicately cleaned and left with a crisp, pleasant scent. It was a nice feeling taking them back home with me in great condition.

Wool & Cashmere Shampoo
Hi Lindsey- I've told all my friends about the Cashmere & Wool Shampoo. I absolutely love it. I always hated the smell of my nice sweaters when they would come back from the dry cleaners. Holy White!
I just used your whites detergent and my clothes came out sparkling. i really can't tell you how impressed i am. i'm a very particular person about my clothes and i've tried everything from oxy clean to bleach and i've never seen results like this. bravo! i've just put an order in for the darks detergent, i'm sure i won't be dissapointed.

Swimwear Care
I, too, am a laundry fanatic always looking for products that will take care of my fine clothing. I have just used your Swimwear Care on my bathing suits after returning from a Caribbean vacation. It is wonderful! It easily removed the sunscreen residue which I always think is the most difficult thing. I love all of your products - I asked my husband to buy me the whole line as a Christmas stocking stuffer - but am so impressed with the Swimwear Care that I just had to write! Crease Release
I've always liked doing laundry because of the way your clothes smell and feel afterwards - using The Laundress takes it to a whole other level. My boyfriend, who is very picky about his clothes, loves the way the detergent smells and we really feel like we're taking better care of our clothes. Brilliant!
Hello, I recently tried your products through BeautyHabit.com, and I have to say that they are brilliant. The products smell great and work wonderfully. With Fabric Fresh, I have been getting at least one extra wear out of my black slacks, and they smell better than when they come back from the cleaners. I also took your Fabric Fresh and stain remover on a short trip - all of my clothes held up fantastically with no need to resort to the extortionist hotel laundry. I see that you have a bigger selection on your website, and will definitely be ordering soon. The money I am saving on dry cleaning is well worth the modest extravagance of your products - especially with the fantastic scents as a bonus. Keep up the good work!
